Privacy Policy

This privacy policy applies to the Voltmeter app for mobile devices (the "Application"), operated by Danilo Lemes (the "Service Provider").

In short: the Service Provider does not collect, store or share any data about you or your car. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking.

Information the Service Provider collects

None. The Service Provider runs no servers for the Application and does not receive any information from it, including personal data, usage data, crash reports, device identifiers or location.

Information stored on your device

To connect to your own TeslaMate server, the Application stores two things on your device only:

• The server address you enter
• Your Grafana API key, kept in the device's secure storage (the iOS Keychain, or encrypted with a key held in the Android Keystore)

Choosing Disconnect in the Application removes both. Uninstalling the Application also removes them.

Where the Application sends requests

• Your TeslaMate server. The Application reads your car's data (drives, charges, positions, battery and vehicle state) directly from the server address you enter. That data stays between your device and your server; it is shown on screen and not kept beyond what the Application needs while it is open.
• Map tiles. Map backgrounds are OpenStreetMap tiles downloaded from OpenFreeMap (tiles.openfreemap.org). Like any website, that service can see your IP address and which map tiles are requested, and so roughly which area is on screen. The Application never sends your car's positions, routes, server address or API key to it; routes and markers are drawn on your device.

Demo mode

Demo mode uses made-up data bundled with the Application. Its only network requests are for map tiles.

Cookies and tracking

The Application does not use cookies, advertising identifiers, analytics or tracking SDKs, and does not track you across other apps or websites.

Sharing and selling of data

The Service Provider does not sell or share personal data, because it does not collect any.

Your rights

Because the Service Provider holds no personal data about you, there is nothing to access, correct, export or delete on its side. The information the Application keeps is on your device and under your control, as described above. If you have questions about your rights under the GDPR, the CCPA/CPRA or other privacy laws, contact Voltmeter support.

Children

The Application is not directed at children under 16 and does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children.

Security

Your API key is stored using the operating system's secure storage. Connections to your server use HTTPS when you enter an https:// address; a plain http:// address, common for servers on a home network, is not encrypted, so use HTTPS or a VPN when connecting over the internet.

Changes to this policy

The Service Provider may update this Privacy Policy, for example if the Application's features change. Updates will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
